Luka Modric has yet to reveal his new club, despite reports linking him with AC Milan.
Luka Modric, 39, is still unwilling to talk about his new club and insists he wants to focus on what lies ahead for him, both with Real Madrid and the Croatia national team.
Italian media previously เว็บพนันออนไลน์ UFABET สมัครง่าย โปรโมชั่นมากมาย reported that AC Milan’s new sporting director Igli Tare had travelled to Croatia to meet Modric, with the Croatian midfielder reportedly agreeing to a one-year contract with the option of a further year, worth €3m per season, but the 39-year-old is yet to make a decision on his future.
‘Milan? I can’t tell you anything about the transfer. I want to focus on everything that lies ahead with Real Madrid and the national team,’ Modric said. ‘I haven’t made a decision yet, although there have been calls and contacts. That’s the only truth.’
However, despite all the talk of a decision made, Modric’s comments at a press conference on the eve of the match against the Czech Republic made everyone worry.
“I haven’t decided where to continue my career . I haven’t made any decisions, even though there have been phone calls and contacts,” he said.
“I’ve put everything aside because I want to focus on the national team. Concentration compromised by rumours? It’s something we can’t escape. For me personally, and I think for others too, it doesn’t compromise concentration.
“I don’t think it affects it, it’s that time of year when many players don’t know where they’ll continue their careers. I don’t think it should compromise anyone’s concentration.”
